The Essence of India Collection (24 Single Titles + 2 Special Issues) is a compilation of books about Indian myth and folklore. It was released in 2011 by Amar Chitra Katha, an Indian comic book series. The set includes Indian mythological stories about Krishna, Mahabharata, Vishnu, Ganesha, Shakuntala, Shiva, and Parvati. It also includes stories about some famous figures from Indian history, such as Ashoka, Tenali Raman, Rana Pratap, Akbar, Bhagat Singh, Birbal, the Rani of Jhansi, Shivaji, Rabindranath Tagore, and J.C. Bose. Stories about historically significant sites such as the Elephanta caves, the Ellora caves, and the city of Delhi are also a part of the set.
